The Second Advent of Jesus
We the Muslims believe that son of Mary, Jesus was not crucified and rather will be sent back to the World again. For clarity of the purpose I would simply quote one beautiful narration of Holy Prophet (PUBH) in this regard,
"By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, surely (Jesus,) the son of Mary will soon descend amongst you and will judge mankind justly (as a Just Ruler); he will break the Cross and kill the pigs and there will be no Jizya (i.e. taxation taken from non Muslims). Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it, and a single prostration to Allah (in prayer) will be better than the whole world and whatever is in it."
Narrated Abu Huraira, Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 55, Number 657
That second coming of Jesus is of greater importance. I personally consider this second coming more than a matter of killing the antichrist. Thus I have taken a different approach to discuss this Second Advent in this post. I for one believe that Jesus will be sent back as a representative of an age that today is considered backward and that HE will manifest the way we should govern our living standard.
Given this fact that Jesus is the Prophet of a time when mass media was not in control, where transportations means were limited, when electronic money was not in circulation, where anything made up of carbon (look around yourself and see how many things are made up of plastic) wasn’t present, when clean drinking water in form of beautifully wrapped plastic bottles wasn’t placed in shelves, when you didn’t have state of the art surveillance systems present at each corner of roads, when hopefully less people were dying out of hunger than today, when food chains were not operational, when the parameters of happiness and success were altogether different from current, when means of contemplating were not influenced by these sophisticated gadget around and when governments and federal reserve systems were not in-charge of the affairs of individuals and rather a scripture from Lord was enough to govern a blessed life. Why? Because the world was not made as complicated and instituionalized as it is today.
Fact of the matter is that Jesus was living a life no different from that of Taliban. A life style with which you threatened many countries as, they will be made an example like those living in caves of Tora Bora.
Now I am not a disbeliever of research and development and that many of these things have helped us achieve a simpler and smoother life. But this simply doesn’t change the fact that most of us are lost in this wonderland today in recreational and monotonic life and have lost our basic purposes of existence. Despite that technological advancement is helping us land in MARS and study the existence of Higg Boson in detail, we yet have failed to marvel to conque the supposedly successful life.
Thus for some whom still consider, reflect back and question, is this it? For me to be human is this enough to live a state of the art life, empower a multinational, govern policies to earn more, drive the top notch car, be advertised in campaigns, earn a millions fans, tagged as the most influential man on planet earth and yet end up in dust?
